Upcoming Project Tutorial: How to Build a Music Streaming Android App

The project that she will work on is “How to Build a Music Streaming Android mobile.” This project is in TEACHING mode. It is a live and real-world project. What is the project about?

Are you bored of creating those “Hello, World” Android projects and want to create something meaningful? Then look no further as this project will teach you on how to build a music streaming Android app. The app will be built from scratch, and the streamer will go through every single step to ensure that the viewer understands the intricacies that go into creating an Android music App.

The tutorial will cover setting up the basic development environment with Android Studio. The streamer will then focus on basic steps and concepts, before moving to harder concepts. In the end, you will be able to build an Android Mobile App.

For who is the project aimed at?

The project is aimed at learners who are eager to expand their Android development skills. To completely enjoy and learn at the same time, the viewer should have a basic understanding of  HTML, CSS, Basic Android programming, OOP in general. The learner should also have Android Studio, Android SDK, Android Phone with support for at least API 21(Lollipop).

If you are a complete beginner, the course is not for you. You need to meet the basic requirement before you can start with the tutorial.

The course is an excellent opportunity for Android learners to expand their skills. A music player in Android is a good project to work on. After the course ends, you can work on it to make it a professional music app and release in App store. You can also submit the project as a final year project for your college.

Session 2: UI Development

  • Create Layouts and designing the UI
  • Learn the art of Android XML
  • Basic MVVM relations with Databinding

Session 3: Creating the Mediaplayer

  • We will code our own Mediaplayer which is playing audio files
  • We are connect the designed UI with our Code and handle events like play, pause, next and previous track

Session 4: Networking

  • We will implement a basic network streaming process which is downloading audio files from web with progress and play them in our mediaplayer

Session 5: Bug Fixing

  • We will try to solve bugs which will appear while developing

Session 6: Google Play Release
